Yeah, it's cheap, but so was my brand new 1 for $280. + tax, same specs. Many SDers regret buying them when they were often hereon in late 2022. Great numbers, but junk, my screen falling out after 13 months, and they reminded me it was out of warranty after 12 months (and more problems since). Gateway, caveat emptor.

I had a gateway for like 4 years back in 2009. loved the sucker, handled gaming, somehow. went through a lot, was metal chassis. really enjoyed it. but yeah all junk now.

I'm actually looking at this laptop now. I've had it for several years. The computer itself is not exactly expensive feeling, but for the specs it's been great and I haven't had any problems with it. For $2 00 it seems like this is still a decent value. Mine seemed like it was new when I got it out of the box. Very happy with this purchase

Apparently, you were fortunate. Many SDers began to complain only months after their purchases in 2022. I taped the screen back on, but have had all kinds of problems, freezing up periodically (none of my other 3 laptops do), often, in fact. Count your blessings.
i have one of these from VIP Outlet. It doesn't feel super horrible but not premium either. Plastic chassis is not that rigid and the keyboard is a bit mushy, but I haven't had any issues with it either. Works pretty well otherwise. No signs of falling apart. Works ok for me as a spare computer that I don't have to worry about too much.

I've commented before on these - they're great. Bought 2: for $350 and $250 respectively. The processor can be "unlocked" in the bios to run at higher wattage, which I did on one because it is used for desk duty connected to a dual monitor setup. Some have complained about delaminated screen coming loose. My two have not had that problem and have had plenty of wear.
Good: Specs are great for price - the chassis is solid and cool. Processor and ram are suitable for most tasks not gaming/editing of course. USB-C pd, full size hdmi out, headphone out. Nice weight and overall footprint. Bottom has an ssd compartment accessible by two screws - Sata III m2 connection only so not top of the line, but I added a 1tb drive for about $45 and is plenty fast for photos, videos storage.
Cons: Screen is dim, glossy and not great colors. Trackpad and keys are cheap feeling.
Edit: I did need to reinstall windows on both from a usb drive. Updates out of the box sent it into a bootloop and the installed image was borked. I suspect many of the original returns and "refurbs" were sent back because of this issue. Not sure this is a problem accross the board.
