"Yes, the DJI Mini 3 Pro battery is compatible with the DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, and vice versa. However, using the Mini 3 Pro battery may reduce the Mini 4 Pro's flight time and propulsion performance. The drone's total weight may also exceed 250g, which means you may need to register it before flying. If the drone weighs more than 250g, you can't fly in the A1 subcategory without an A2 CofC. Instead, you'll need to fly in the A3 subcategory, which involves flying far away from people"

I don't think we can post news links in the comments but it's pretty big news so shouldn't be to hard to find. from the AP news article:
"The future of DJI (Da Jiang Innovations) drones is metaphorically up in the air as the Countering CCP Drones Act, introduced by Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY), gains more support in Congress, raising the possibility of a nationwide ban in the U.S. Proponents of the bill cite national security concerns, alleging DJI drones are providing data on critical infrastructure in the United States to the Chinese Communist Party. If passed, the bill could significantly impact the drone industry in the U.S. and potentially affect consumers who rely on DJI drones for recreation, commercial applications and public safety initiatives like search and rescue missions. DJI is fighting the ban through lobbying efforts and more."
There is speculation that the ban also is in part being pushed by US drone companies that are too far behind DJI to catch up. Skydio is maybe the biggest US based company that does not even make consumer level products.

Not sure why you sold your drone! Ban will just prevent new models from getting certified for US sales.

This is a great deal! wootwootwoot

Again, this will only prevent newer models from getting certified U.S. sales. It won't brick your existing drone.

I think that's the confusion happening right now. Would be good if there was a news article that says that instead of fear mongering dji owners

Never heard of skydio... Like, at all. They got some VERY big shoes to fill if they're going to be replaced by dji

You're jumping to a conclusion. The language of the rider does not speak this way. It blanket states a prohibition of DJI drones' use of US frequency bands. We will see what happens. I bought my mini 3 anyway, a couple months go, in optimism that if it passes it would be a transition period; and still I can fly in Mexico when I go.

Skydio will not be replacing DJI.
