Hm, wondering if the PB-1000 Pro will go lower this year. BF probably? Thinking I should probably wait, but very tempting.
I suggest you check out RSL.

If it does it's not going to be a big amount especially if you're looking at the non blemish ones. The bigger issue is getting the best deals which are the blemished ones.Often the blemish is very minor but you get the full Bill of Rights warranty as a new one! They do go extremely fast(as you see here), BF will not be any different, that's the challenge! Personally I kept waiting for that "deal", finally getting lucky and saved $50!If you know you want SVS and you're comfortable with the sale price just get it now is my opinion. I get people whine about price but their quality hasn't diminished, I would say it's improved. You get what you pay for with SVS imo.
What evidence do you have that the quality has increased?

seems like a lot of people prefer the ported over sealed. I got the SB 1000 Pro which is cheaper and smaller. Some people really care about the size
I bought mine because they were on sale. The SB were not at the time.

too much for subwoofer..I beleive RSL now may be viable option
I have both the RSL 10S and the Pro and non Pro PB1000. The non pro SVS PB1000 at $400 when I bought it is my favorite as far as price vs performance. My new favorite is the RSL.

I have/use two SB 3000s that I've compared to several ported subs and they very much compete, some cases out perform them.
With a much smaller footprint, no longer needing/having big boxes in the room!

I got them $800/$850 from these sales.
That is a lot of performance for that price imo.
I can tell you RSL doesn't come close to that performance but they are less expensive.
You get what you pay for imo.

FYI anyone interested in the SB3000, BH has it on sale for $799.
You lose out on full Bill of Rights warranty but still get 5 years, well worth the gamble if you know this is what you want!

Crazy how expensive these have become. I bought the SB16 Ultra during their 2018 Memorial Day sale for only $1400 out the door. Now it costs $2045!
I was going to get the 2000Pro cylinder when it was $800 but wanted to wait for the new model to come out as i already have 2 SVS subs and didn't "need" to upgrade right away. Well, no new model and yes, the price is hundreds more. They do make a great product though. The APP with EQ is worth the price of admission.

Wow, sometimes I do not understand people, you assume the worse...

When I made this post, I created it before the sale started. In the past, sometimes, the SB1000 starts off at $300, with a blemish AND sales out as fast as it was advertised....so I pick $300 for that reason. I never updated the price because I thought it was no big deal, there are more produces on sale then one speaker.

I just thought I would not get such criticism for something so simple....

I have a pair of PB2000 pros that I'd like to upgrade. I have the 3000 micro in my big master bed/office and the two subs in the (bigger) family room dont ever fill the room like the mini does....

But it seems like the only logical path is to go all the way to the top to the 16?

Well I think you just pointed out how complicated this all is.

Those pair of PB2000s properly implemented should perform very well unless that family room is huge and you're trying to fill the whole room.

Not knowing your knowledge level but learning to calibrate those subs will save you a lot of money.
A good room correction and learning how to use it properly can be pretty helpful also.

I got the PB-12 NSD for $440 in 2018. Now the PB 2000 Pro is the closest match at $900.

Instead of buying one more, I decided to buy 2 Klipsch RP-1400s at $700 each from the sale earlier this year, and couldn't be happier. The 14 inch is a step up from the SVS 12 inch and competes with the much more expensive PB-4000 if I'm not mistaken.

SVS is no longer the value it used to be.

Is that an SVS outlet in Corona?

I agree prices have skyrocketed. But the used market is strong, and the depreciation has been great for used buyers.

I disagree that the closest model to the PB-12 NSD is the PB-2000 Pro. Looking at the measurements, the PB-1000 Pro actually measures closest to it.

While pricing has gone up, performance has also increased, even on the entry level models.
