With a much smaller footprint, no longer needing/having big boxes in the room!
I got them $800/$850 from these sales.
That is a lot of performance for that price imo.
I can tell you RSL doesn't come close to that performance but they are less expensive.
You get what you pay for imo.
You lose out on full Bill of Rights warranty but still get 5 years, well worth the gamble if you know this is what you want!

When I made this post, I created it before the sale started. In the past, sometimes, the SB1000 starts off at $300, with a blemish AND sales out as fast as it was advertised....so I pick $300 for that reason. I never updated the price because I thought it was no big deal, there are more produces on sale then one speaker.
I just thought I would not get such criticism for something so simple....
But it seems like the only logical path is to go all the way to the top to the 16?

Those pair of PB2000s properly implemented should perform very well unless that family room is huge and you're trying to fill the whole room.
Not knowing your knowledge level but learning to calibrate those subs will save you a lot of money.
A good room correction and learning how to use it properly can be pretty helpful also.
Instead of buying one more, I decided to buy 2 Klipsch RP-1400s at $700 each from the sale earlier this year, and couldn't be happier. The 14 inch is a step up from the SVS 12 inch and competes with the much more expensive PB-4000 if I'm not mistaken.
SVS is no longer the value it used to be.

I disagree that the closest model to the PB-12 NSD is the PB-2000 Pro. Looking at the measurements, the PB-1000 Pro actually measures closest to it.
While pricing has gone up, performance has also increased, even on the entry level models.
