I ordered few days back and mines in mid September; but all my previous purchases from them came way before their expected delivery date, so I am assuming this will come before September 7th.
I've only purchased a couple times- don't remember being too surprised. I guess i wait patiently.

But but but amazon has spoiled me rotten. Order before bed and some guy skulking around at 4am drops it off in my driveway.

Yes, wired bridge between the parent node and the existing (non-Linksys) router. Though the child nodes can act as wireless bridges if you set them up with wireless backhauls.

Does the child node need to be the same model? Or I can mesh this with a Netgear, for example?

I placed an order on Woot few hours ago, but I don't see any charge on my card, not even an authorisation. This is my first order with Woot, do they charge only later once the order is ready to ship?

I do see the order under my account but it just has the "Not Yet Shipped" status.

It will mesh with certain Linksys Velop models. To mesh with other brands you will need to run OpenWRT on all.

The Mx4300 can mesh with other Linksys Velop systems.

It's also supposedly capable of roaming through 802.11v and 802.11k.

Never had more than one ap so not sure if I will need DD-WRT on all the systems to utilize seamless roaming between different brands but that's what I know.

What was the approximate weight of the box? Did you order more than one unit in a single order, did it all come as a single shipment or multiple (with separate waybill/tracking numbers)?

Ordered 3 in a single order and they were shipped separately via UPS with different tracking numbers for each. As for weight of each package, I'd say close to 2lbs but I'm unable to verify that right now.
