An AC/heatpump uses about 1500w-3000w.
But our water, stove and dryer is gas.
People way over estimate how much power they use. The only time our house goes over 10kW is when we're charging our EVs.
We have an Emporia Vue monitoring like 30 circuits and the Tesla gateway monitoring the grid/solar/battery.

Gas absolutely goes bad especially when it contains ethanol. You can treat it and you should be ok but you should also run the carb dry when storing any engine for a long period of time.

I only use non-ethanol (non-oxygenated) gas in all of my small engines and I have had very little issues with storage times over a year.
