FWIW, HD has slowly moved to a warehouse model with mandatory delivery (and waiting time). Lowe's often has the same, or similar, models in stock and will very often price match even if it's not 100% identical (since mfrs frequently make store-exclusive models).

Since most people need replacement appliances quickly, I always found this handy. I shop at HD for most stuff, but Lowe's for appliances.

I don't have this specific dishwasher but I'll never buy a GE dishwasher again. The one I had was good at washing dishes when it worked. I can't tell you how many times I had it serviced. I paid more for repairs than I did the dishwasher. I finally broke down and bought a cheap one from best buy

Lowe's appliances will leave you waiting, say they're coming on Wednesday from 12-8pm and call at 7:45 pm to say they cannot make it to reschedule after you've waited all day, happened to me a couple times mother too.

Bestbuy tried this once and I said no. They made the appointment time and it was part of the agreement. They came out.

Mine kept going out, issues with electrical. I have mine for 4 years and just fixed it by messing with my electrical panel. It works well when there's no issues but I see many people recommend other brands like Bosch. This was $399 during black Friday

Yea the board on my GE has gone up twice in a year. Currently working but every once in a while it throws an error till you flip the breaker. Just a matter of time till it happens again. Next time it breaks we're replacing it.

At least consider the idea of DIY. Dishwasher is very simple if you are just replacing a previous washer.

I know Bosch is considered the best value in the dishwasher world, but I had bad luck with Bosch. Got a GE in a rental that never given me problems in 20+years, 20!

Front or Top control? what do you guys think?

I was always used to front controls, but recently got a top control. It's fine. Have to open the door to make setting selections and if you install it perfectly level, you probably won't be able to read the clock to see how much longer is left on the cleaning cycle.
Trade-off is you probably don't have to bend over/contort yourself to make cycle selections.

Maybe it has something to do with location.most of my appliances I bought are from Lowe's and they are always arrived on time.

I have had this dishwasher for a year. The only complaint I have is that the wheels on the lower rack kept coming off. At this price, it's a good deal.

Yea, in most cases it's turning off the electricity and water supply under the sink to dishwasher, removing two screws from where it's attached to cabinet and then pulling it out to disconnect the water and power lines. 4 simple steps really. Most modern dishwashers are pretty light as well. There really isn't much plumbing skills needed for pre-existing installs. Some dishwashers power lines are hard wired and that might increase the install time, but it's very similar to installing a light fixture really.
