The C300 AC is closer in size and weight. It has more & more powerful USB ports, including one that supports 140W input; EB3A has 1 100W output, no input. The EB3A has twice as much peak AC power and solar input, plus a wireless charging pad on top. C300 app supports WiFi and Bluetooth, just Bluetooth for EB3A. C300 has a 5 year warranty (3 years for DC model), vs 2 year for EB3A. Anker has a better reputation for support as well.
I own a EB3A and the C300 AC looks like a better comparable unit - but to be honest I think the C300 DC is a better device for most use cases for a small power station. It's got enough juice to run a DC fridge, CPAP or other DC devices, more USB ports for keeping a family's devices topped off, plus a truly useful area light. All that and a cheaper, lighter, smaller unit; and if you really need occasional AC power, you can run a small 100W inverter off the DC port.
AC outputs on small power stations are fine for a narrow set of use cases, just very limited by both maximum power and short runtimes. A larger power station will be more useful for AC loads.

I'm tempted to grab the DC model for the size/weight/top light (and cost I suppose) but I don't want to order that and regret not getting the AC/DC model for the expanded capability. I imagine I could run a modem and router off it temporarily.
Of course assume the power outage didn't knock out the isp itself…

Obviously, I just charge the iPads from the wall most of the time. These are for those emergency Roblox sessions with the iPad about to die lol.

Our couch is in the middle as well and have tried the cable from the wall, but as you mentioned someone trips over it and it just looks bad.
It's definitely a prime "first world problem" or whatever it should be called, but it's convenient for everyone when there is easy to access power.
And before anyone says have the kids go outside and play or whatever, they do that A LOT, significant majority of the time. Lots of activities and all that fun stuff. But winter here is often rough, rainy days happen, and kids-will-be-kids and those iPads spend half their lives hovering around 10% battery charge because when they go outside the youngest one is pretty bad about charging it. So when they do go to use them during down time, it's helpful when power is where they will be.
I'm a nerd with a large-ish house, so I have two UPSs for different purposes. The smaller one most people would use for modem/router/switch stuff is an APC BE600M1. [apc.com] Fairly small, has run a switch and WAP for a couple hours, replaceable battery. And you can get it for ~$80 every day.
