I think it's becoming more and more known that a lot of foot problems come from shoes being too tight and squeezes your toes together to fit them inside. The remedy for this is having wider shoes and more people requesting wider shoes so they are making more of them.
Because as noted in the title, this post is specifically for wide sizes. If you want regular, search for those. As someone who shops wide, I can assure you they are not the majority, not even close. I wish! :-)
Btw, I just returned my Duramo wides because they were too narrow, narrower than other Adidas wides I have.
I tend to post Regular and Wide/Extra Wide shoes separately. Since Wide and Extra Wide options are harder to find at a good price, I make sure to highlight those deals when they're available.
Why are they all wide?
Even at my local sporting goods store, the vast majority of shoes they have now are wide or extra wide...
Good question that I don't have the answer to. Personally, I prefer wide shoes...I often find regular sized to be uncomfortable to wear after a short time wearing them whereas I can wear wides all day. Just received a couple pairs of New Balance wides yesterday and they fit nicely. I ordered a couple wides here from Adidas...I wore them alot when I was younger but as my feet have changed, I haven't had much luck with Adidas so I'm hoping these wides will be better. I've always had feet issues...flat footed and these days, I'm likely diabetic...I figure the 2 are why the wides work better for me.

These would be nice shoes with out the oversized adidas lettering. I bought the 6.0 last year which looked more sleek
These have a more rugged style to it with the laces
bought and returned during last deal 2 weeks ago. fit is fine, comfort is just okay but my biggest gripe was the shallow tread in that the shoe won't last long for heavy users

Adidas runs narrow in their shoes. So this is more like normal with for other shoes. I like Adidas but they just don't fit me well always have to go up a size and wide for them to be comfortable for more than an hour.

That's not always the reason for having wide feet.
