Currently 164.99 on Amazon, 199.99 on Home Depot, doesn't seem like a bad price. Woot has some other Dewalt and Milwaukee sales going on too if you click on the "Best of Tools + Lawn & Garden!" subcategory.

Lowe's deal is still active. 199 for the 8a battery and you get the saw (or other tool) free. I feel 50$ more for it including an 8a battery is worth it

The Power Detect is a good saw and it's a great deal for $199 with an 8Ah. However, this one is a more powerful saw (and is 60V FLEXVOLT, not the 20V FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE). If you really need the power, the Power Detect is no substitute for this saw. See side-by-side review by WorkshopAddict [youtube.com].

How does this compare to the Flexvolt worm drive saw from Dewalt?

The worm-drive style has a bit more power. Probably the more important factor is that this one is blade right and the worm drive is blade left. That will mostly come down to personal preference, but for cross cutting (e.g., framing), a blade left is often better for right handers because you have more support when cutting the end off a workpiece on the right. On the other hand, blade left tends to be easier for ripping for right handers since you stand beside the workpiece rather than behind it.

I purchased dewalt 20v 7-3/4 inch circular saw brushless for 139$ over the weekend. How does that compare with this? which would be a best tool? I dont have 60v Batteries though. I bought it for my personal home works and I am not a heavy user of the tools.

I am sure the 20V will be absolutely fine. I have a 20V 6-1/2 inch and it covers most home things (including DIY construction). I do also have the 60V worm-drive style and it is a complete beast and a feels great to use. But, to be honest, me having that tool is more an obsessive tool pathology than a genuine need. Also, if you don't already have the FLEXVOLT batteries then it's quite a cost to upgrade from the 20V.
