Hands down the BEST game I have played in the last 5 years. So much fun, and I'm not even a Potter fan, never seen the movies or read the books

Why is this game just over a year old often being sold for dirt cheap ($18 on Steam) like it's as old as Witcher 3? Honestly that shows red flags where an even older but robust game like Elden Ring never drops that low.

I carefully tip toe around games these days because of that. I don't know if it's because I'm older and games have lost their overall magic. Playing roguelike games can fix that but sometimes you want a good rpg & story.

If I had to guess, expectations and reality didn't match up for the sales department. Games like this usually have a strong initial adoption by fans and then everyone else just sort of sits on it until it's a price they feel comfortable paying for the unknown amount of enjoyment it may offer. As I understand, the author of this series also has some views that wound up alienating some of the fan base and resulted in a sort of mini-boycott from them.

Honestly though, I've not heard anything except positive reviews about the game, and at this price, it is probably worth a try if you're at all interested.

So the Dark Arts Pack is also discounted right now for 5.99, at least on PS, didn't check Xbox. So for 26.98 you could get everything in the Deluxe on PS5 except the "Dark Arts Garrison Hat" which is just a cosmetic item as far as I can tell.

You're right -- the Dark Arts Pack is available (even for Xbox) for only $5.99 more, but the "Deluxe" version is still full price.

Fun game with an interesting story. It does her s little long winded but overall enjoyable. Overall was fun playing as a wizard in this universe who's not bound to stun and disarm spells.

I think I put 80 hours into it without even getting 100%.

This was the best-selling game of 2023 in the world. It absolutely met and exceeded any expectations.

Different publishers have different pricing plans. Elden Ring doesn't get cheaper because FromSoftware games often don't go on big sales. Sekiro has like never been below $25.

Nintendo games almost never go below $40.

Ubisoft almost always discounts their game 50% or more off within 2 months on even their biggest games of the year.

FromSoftware almost never discounts their games. Just look at prices for Dark Souls 3, which is eight freaking years old.

I started playing Kingdom Come, which is like $4 on Steam right now. Has a great story.
