sheesh, its exactly the specs i killed myself over trying to get in my custom build.. prebuilt and comes with a free monitor too ;( lmao

oh well, with tech you can never dwell on what you could've gotten instead. Depending on how much you value the monitor (~$200?) this is a slick deal.

7800x3d w/ 4070 TI Super builds all have been hovering 1700+

Seems decent but ugh…. NEWEGG. If you have any problems, good luck with customer "service". Took them nearly 2 months to refund me for a hard drive that they "lost" before UPS even picked it up.

Unless Affirm has changed their terms and conditions recently, you can sign up for their payment plan, get the discount, and then immediately pay it off to avoid any interest. I did that last year without issue.

I'm having a hard time not pulling the trigger on this. These are the specs I've been looking to build, and even more money off with a free monitor? This may be too good to pass up.
Im in the same spot. Im looking at it with the extra 190 off with Affirmed knowing ill just pay it off early anyway and seeing people say they have built similar for more has me looking and looking through work all day lol.

With that setup, it will be good for quite a few years, maybe swap a couple things. But its 4-5 times better than what I have now. Throw in a free monitor. Im not crazy about white? Id rather have black on a case but I can live.

Sometimes I wonder if you keep doing that you just keep waiting and waiting though. Basically Im at the point my daughter uses my old pc all the time and Id like to use mine after work just to relax. Im old and dont do anything really anymore. I do enjoy PC games but I can play on xbox. Just some thing I miss about having a nice PC.
Yes 100%. A few years ago when the consoles were new, the difference in quality from PC to console was manageable. But now it's night and day difference between a mid-high end GPU like the 4070 TI and the PS5 for Black Myth wukong. The PS5 just can't run the game properly, too many sacrifices.

But I do believe it's worth waiting another quarter for next gen.

I appreciate the info, maybe I will hold off. This is still really tempting me though lol.

Newegg used to be my favorite years ago. I still have t-shirt from back in the day. It's way different now, nothing like before.

Anybody know how this stacks up to the Ibuypower deal from Walmart? Looks like the i9 is a bit faster and the regular 4070 is quite a bit behind the 4070ti super at the cost of ~$300? I pulled the trigger on the Walmart deal but getting cold feet... Any input appreciated.

In terms of gaming and performance per watt, i9 is faaaaar behind 7800x3d.

If you mainly game, 7800x3d is just a no-brainer. And it is ice cold btw. With a decent air cooler your temps while gaming will be around 60 C. With good AIO it will be around 50-55C. Convert to F if needed.

How much did you pay all together building yours?
I paid ~$1500; semi frugal with the extra fans and more importantly I opted to 7900XT instead of the 4070 TI Super. Simply couldn't find a price I liked on the TI super, and the numbers are truly close enough while saving me 100-150

I am seriously looking at this. I have an old saav with a 580. Its fine, but Id like something a lot better.

You seem to know prices and worth. Is this worth the extra few hundred for the 4070 over the 7800 on the other one I saw listed yesterday for 1399 before the affirmed 10%?

I assume it is? Just always looking for cost and longevity. My saav still runs good but my daughter now hogs it for roblox lol. If Im going to buy another one for me, Id rather just get something nice that will go for a while. Thanks
This imo is the prize winning CPU/GPU combo; longevity is definitely there with a build like this

With that said, it feels like you're really paying for it with the 4070 TI Super; I eventually couldnt justify it and opted for 7900XT, my gaming/work will never feel the difference and I'm down to save a couple hundo.

Yes I would opt for this over the 7800, especially since I needed a new monitor lol. but if you want the middle ground you could build with a 7900XT like me and get similar performance for cheaper ;0

What are you trying to use a new build for? My kid will likely eventually take this machine so it's neat to hear how your last build has moved on!!

If you were looking at the build with the 4070 super, it doesn't come with one.

You would probably be better off waiting a few months for next gen. 5090 & 5080 rumored to release Q4 this year and 5070 Q1 2025.

That said, I'm still super tempted to upgrade my 3060 TI now to a 4070 TI Super because Black myth wukong is a crazy awesome game
Prob with that theory is:

1. The current rumors are pointing more towards a 2025 release, possibly not until CES 25
2. As with the 4000 series, they will release the 5090 first, followed by the 5080 later (at least weeks, maybe even a month or more),with the 5070 not launching until well after that
3. Whenever it launches you will either need to:
a. Wait/camp out in line somewhere
b. Buy w/markup from a reseller
c. Use your own bot
d. Get super lucky
e. Wait until they are regularly in stock

Lol I am not really sure even. I have a zaav t101 cheapo build. Im not a guy who can build his own rig. I dont have the time to invest with work. I just want something I can come home and play games on after work at 46 years old lol.

My daughter is 11 so the zaav works amazing for her Roblox she loves and a few other games not to mention her schoolwork.

Shes on it all the time and Im not kicking her off if shes playing math games at night.

I can always play my xbox which I do or watch baseball but Im in that stage of life I dont go out or drink and I just miss PC gaming and want something that will last a few years without having to upgrade a bunch of parts.

I did not buy it. I had it in my cart all the way up till 11pm and held off. Ill see what else pops coming up here in the next few months although I may be kicking myself for not grabbing this 🤣

Looks like the monitor is out of stock and doesn't auto add to cart anymore. Probably worth avoiding any "complicated" situations like this with Newegg.

Yes, I still had one in my cart from last night and it was gone this morning so Im out now on this sadly unless they add a different monitor.
