oh well, with tech you can never dwell on what you could've gotten instead. Depending on how much you value the monitor (~$200?) this is a slick deal.
7800x3d w/ 4070 TI Super builds all have been hovering 1700+

With that setup, it will be good for quite a few years, maybe swap a couple things. But its 4-5 times better than what I have now. Throw in a free monitor. Im not crazy about white? Id rather have black on a case but I can live.
But I do believe it's worth waiting another quarter for next gen.

If you mainly game, 7800x3d is just a no-brainer. And it is ice cold btw. With a decent air cooler your temps while gaming will be around 60 C. With good AIO it will be around 50-55C. Convert to F if needed.

You seem to know prices and worth. Is this worth the extra few hundred for the 4070 over the 7800 on the other one I saw listed yesterday for 1399 before the affirmed 10%?
I assume it is? Just always looking for cost and longevity. My saav still runs good but my daughter now hogs it for roblox lol. If Im going to buy another one for me, Id rather just get something nice that will go for a while. Thanks
With that said, it feels like you're really paying for it with the 4070 TI Super; I eventually couldnt justify it and opted for 7900XT, my gaming/work will never feel the difference and I'm down to save a couple hundo.
Yes I would opt for this over the 7800, especially since I needed a new monitor lol. but if you want the middle ground you could build with a 7900XT like me and get similar performance for cheaper ;0
What are you trying to use a new build for? My kid will likely eventually take this machine so it's neat to hear how your last build has moved on!!
That said, I'm still super tempted to upgrade my 3060 TI now to a 4070 TI Super because Black myth wukong is a crazy awesome game
1. The current rumors are pointing more towards a 2025 release, possibly not until CES 25
2. As with the 4000 series, they will release the 5090 first, followed by the 5080 later (at least weeks, maybe even a month or more),with the 5070 not launching until well after that
3. Whenever it launches you will either need to:
a. Wait/camp out in line somewhere
b. Buy w/markup from a reseller
c. Use your own bot
d. Get super lucky
e. Wait until they are regularly in stock

My daughter is 11 so the zaav works amazing for her Roblox she loves and a few other games not to mention her schoolwork.
Shes on it all the time and Im not kicking her off if shes playing math games at night.
I can always play my xbox which I do or watch baseball but Im in that stage of life I dont go out or drink and I just miss PC gaming and want something that will last a few years without having to upgrade a bunch of parts.
I did not buy it. I had it in my cart all the way up till 11pm and held off. Ill see what else pops coming up here in the next few months although I may be kicking myself for not grabbing this 🤣
