It's a bench/lab DC power supply. For tinkering with electronics, circuit boards, PC components, radios, RC vehicles, batteries, etc.

Better ones like this one have cleaner power output and can provide stable current under varying loads. Also, features like constant current and constant voltage, which this one appears to have, are useful for reviving dead battery packs.

Lol siglent is like the most basic name change you can do from who they are ripping off, Agilent. Crazy times tho, I recall when you couldn't get anything like this for less than a grand at least. For a hobbyist to be able to get for a couple hundred is great
