I have this and it is great. Really made putting in baseboards a lot easier. Very powerful though, drove a nail complerely through a board before, so mind the settings.

Edit: Meant trim, not baseboards

I always thought 18gauge was kind of the minimum… 23 was just to hold things in place.

To each there own, but building standard is to use 15 - 18 gauge to attach base boards, so if anyone see's this, I wouldn't let this use case drive a purchase. This nailer is designed for finish work like cabinet molding, or finish molding that needs the smallest of small nail holes that are easily patched and blended.

Agreed. I use my 23-ga pin nailer primarily for keeping things aligned while the glue dries on smaller woodworking projects. Remember that 23-ga nails (pins) are headless, so they have very little holding power (only friction).
