Great deal. I bought their smaller 4kw model from eBay last year and it arrived in new condition!

This looks to be the Costco model. Are these the returns they get from Costco?

They are the same thing. Good chance it could be a costco return. Sometimes these show up looking pretty used. Other times looking brand new. These have a two year warranty. I bought one myself and am excited to see what shows up...

That's great. I have that model as well. Bought it refurbished from a previous deal. It ran like a champ during an over two day power outage recently.

Just had a 50 amp inlet installed last week. Just now bought this to run off Natural gas and plug into the inlet. Excited to see how the whole thing works out...

Since this is a non-inverter type generator, did you have any issues with the more sensitive devices you have ?

Unless you have life support equipment, is there really any affect?

You do know all of the big 22kw whole home generators are all non inverter, right?

The answer to that would be no. Yet, even if I did know that I would still ask the same question as I don't know the answer to that and want to learn from other people's experiences.

Well, yes, for example induction motors run and even sound horrible on modified sine. The closer to clean sine, the better induction motors run. I asked if the person had any devices that had issues with non inverter generator to learn from their experiences. There are devices like audio and radio equipment that are sensitive to noise. inverter based generators put out a much lower ripple sine wave, but I don't know how much more noisy non inverter generators are as I don't have one, all mine are inverter types. Back to induction motors, not only do they sound different the further you get from clean sine, they also run hotter at the same load. But I ask mainly because I've never tried non inverter generator at my home and wanted to learn what others experienced when they did so.

I haven't received the generator yet. I ordered it just the other day... Hopefully soon I'll have more to report. I looked up many youtube reviews and I didn't find anyone that had any issues using this as a result of this not being an inverter generator. I'm hoping not to have to use this much, But I kind of have a bad feeling about this upcoming winter...

Just looking at the specs it would be possible. It can put out 240v at 31 amps and the average level 2 EV charger is 240v at 24 amps or 6kv, this thing can put out 7.5kv So on paper I would say it can charge an EV at slightly higher rate than the average Level 2 EV charger. That I've never done so means that I'm most likely correct, but it's just conjecture, never done it myself.

You can power a 2 ton a/c along with basic things like refrigerator, a few lights, etc. If you are not running an a/c, you can run several things at once, including a couple of TVs, router/printer, lights, computer.

IIRC from previous posts the THD is rather high but at the same time people are happy with it. In for one since I've been waffling during the Costco sales and for some reason the eBay app applied a 10% code for me.

eBay refurbished code I got emailed. May be one time use: YUSPGIJZ9QHMKY7M
