Besides this is the only kind of knife my late grand father used as a cook from Hong Kong, used it to cut onions, cut up chicken , and in construction even used it as a hammer. Its a tool for everything when you grow up with nothing such as much of the famine land of China
I've never bought a "nice" cleaver, and I have bought a hell of a lot of nice knives. The only cleaver that I have is a Kiwi that I bought like 30 years ago for five bucks. As I mentioned above, it's mostly just to punch holes in the bottoms of cans.
