At higher resolutions like 2880x1800, the difference is less noticeable due to the higher pixel density.
So if you plan on doing any text intensive tasks on the laptop, I'd say avoid this one. If all you do is watch 1080p videos, then this will be fine. I'd still find a laptop with higher pixel density as most video content is 4K these days.
Another negative about the super slim series is that the battery size is considerably smaller than the regular Grams. My Gram 15 has an 80Wh battery, but the last time I looked, the Super Slim had a 60Wh battery. That is a huge downgrade.
I'd go for a regular Gram 15/16 from Costco. They regularly go on sale at this price point or below. Much better return policy is also a big plus.
Edit: The Gram 15 with an i7 and 1TB SSD is currently on sale for the same price at Costco ($799). Much better laptop, IMO.
Good, basic level laptop for everyday office and school work with the benefit of a blur-free oled display that provides superior movie watching experience vs LCDs.
Or another way to look at it Faster CPU performance on the basics than a M1 MacBook Air, similar runtimes, and 1 lbs~ lighter with a nicer oled for the same $799.

I believe it's either fixed with firmware or its an urban myth coming from an old galaxy book with Oled screen.
I have been pushing commits using this very same listed laptop for a month and had no issues at all with text.
I am using zorin os, not Windows. I am not sure if that makes any difference though.
It doesn't mean those individuals are wrong - just a subjective difference in their perception.
In the end, if it looks fine, it's fine.
