From my own and other people I know, the stuff is basically new from Proaudiostar. Sometimes they just need to list a new guitar as b stock in order to sell it low because of brand rules

Floyd Rose Special = gross. That kills this guitar. Everything else on it is great specs. Throw a FR1000 on it and then it's solid!

A "retail" of $1K and a FR special = 🤡

Don't forget to use code "Take5" for 5% off.
That will save you some of the tax.

Floyd Rose specials are the cheap low end version of the FR lineup.

Generally speaking it's FR Special, FR 1000 then FR original.

Doesn't stay in tune as well as the FR 1000 and FR original. Not as well made. Crappier materials.

This is a great guitar. I have it in black. Mine was a B-stock from PAS and it had a dent on the back of the headstock. Not bad, and the guitar sounds and plays great.

For what the usual asking price is for a 1000 series, I'd rather get either a German-made Original or the Schaller Lockmeister (German-made Floyd "copy" by the OEM for Floyd Rose Original trems)

Did you try it? The coupon code "Take5" is not valid.

I tried it before I posted that comment. Sorry it didn't work for you. It took $20 and some change off in my cart.

I know that some people arent fans of the FR Special model, but I think its by far the highest selling FR trem model on most production models under an average retail price new of maybe like $800. I don't think Schecter did something real unusual in that aspect. I'm pretty sure the FR1000 series is only sold 'new' to certain wholesale manufacturers, (I believe the Floyd SE Custom 22 PRS has a FR1000, for example) so used options on those are probably only on Reverb.com,etc. Maybe the rareness of models that come new with a Original Floyd Rose has something to do with actual amount of FR fanatics who actually think theyre going to wear out a FR trem system with heavy use. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there are tone differences...but I think the fact that FUTone exists might be evidence that some people still want to 'upgrade' Special, Original, etc. FR trems in terms of tone via the tremolo 'block'. Maybe I'm wrong. I think in general the FR Special is probably cost wise a very logical choice for guitar manufacturers to tend to use in terms of 'overinvesting' on lesser-classic model styles. I think Charvel and Jackson have more of a hardcore FR trem fan base, and I think even they don't tend to install those on new models that are priced below about $800 or so. For example, Kramer making a USA Baretta model with a Orig FR seems less risky to me than Schecter trying to do so with perhaps more risk of the 'Banshee' not selling very well for other reasons. Maybe I'm wrong.

Super strange, i tried it many times, different web browsers even. It would never work. Oh well, if/when it ships I'll send the company a message and see whats up with that....
