Was it new, in the box or a display / last unit in stock? Looking at the website it does not look like it was a clearance item.

That thing is a beast. Once suggestion. Every time you are about to be finished mowing turn off the fuel and let it run out of fuel to turn off. Then turn the fuel back on to start. I've had it for 3 years and its still starts like the first day I brought it home with the first pull. When you run it's fuel out at shut down there is nothing in the motor to gum it up.

Not a display model, not open box. They had 2 brand new in box, sealed. I was going to buy it anyway at full price. Guy said it's on 50% markdown. Simple as that.

Weird. Most stores are out of stock but one store with 32 in stock at full price, according to BS. BS used to be quite accurate with HD clearance status. Is it still the case?

32 of them would take up lots of shelf space for a big item like this. Doesn't seem to be likely.

Or you can use ethanol-free gas

My Honda snow blower has a drain valve for the carburetor. You should not need to run the fuel dry.

I think they do have that many. I was looking into the other Honda posted a few weeks ago and I found two stores that had 15+ in stock. But those were the only two stores within 5 hours that had any. They may be consolidating stock for some reason ?
