3.3 stars on Amazon. What can go wrong?Actually, a lot. I don't understand why Sennheiser keeps getting it wrong. Version 3, and still as problematic as Version 1.
perhaps, Sennheiser is better at sound engineering and less good at integrating it into higher levels of technology needed for earbuds. Just a guess
That said, didn't Sennheiser recently sell a good portion of their audio brand to another company? why yes they did, they sold their consumer division to a group called Sonova holding AG,which includes their "true wireless headsets". Unless i'm interpreting this wrong, they are being marketed as sennheiser thanks to a perpetual license for the sennheiser brand but are actually operated by sonova. Someone please correct me if i am wrong on any of this but it appears that a good chunk of Sennheiser is no longer sennheiser.
This deal however seems on the surface to be very very good and sennheiser is generally a brand people trust.

I bought their hd660s2 after seeing so many trusted audiophile YouTuber giving it an explosive 5 stars rating when it first release @ full price $699. Put on my flavorist song and after the song end, I put everything back in the box and back to Amazon. Another lesson learned.

I was referring to usability/battery/quality issues with the Momentum TWS. I am sorry you didn't like how the HD660S2 sounds, but I don't know if that has a relevance here.
On a side note, I just read up the HD660S2 review[wordpress.com] on my favorite headphones reviews site. You must have experienced exactly what those headphones were designed for. Per the review, the HD58X and the HD560S could've given you the same or slightly better sound for a lot less.

This headphone excels in not being able to excel in anything specific…. if that makes sense.
It is not impressive in the lows (no Harman bass levels). It is not a super 'dynamic' headphone. It doesn't have an exceptional stereo image/head-stage. It doesn't have hyper detail and 'airy' sound.
It just is very good at sounding 'pleasant' and not doing anything wrong (except maybe bass extension).
...
When you love your HD58X yet you really wanted a small increase in sound quality and are willing to fork out a substantial amount the HD660S2 may be an idea. It may not be worth it to some so don't expect an incremental step in quality.
...
Cheap alternatives, other than the HD58X is the HD560S. The latter has more bass extension (not more bass!), more clarity and better stereo imaging.

If anything, Sonova should be better at earbuds, because they have been selling Phonak hearig aids since 1947, so earbuds should be right in their wheelhouse.

That review shows just how sound quality is an individual taste. It mentions the HD660 has "no Harmon bass levels", which to me would be a good thing, as I am not a fan of the Harmon curve. The Harmon curve is just the result of testing what the "average" person prefers, on average. And the statement that the HD560 has more bass extension (but not more bass!), is just plain wrong. All decent over-ears can extend down to the limit of human hearing, so it is just a question of level. If the level is increased, that is the very definition of "more bass."

Its not just seinheiser, I am finding all the premium earbud manufacturers are having QA problems. I used to own bose ultra earbuds but out of the box it had a weird static noise problem. Sony XM4s had battery issues, and I currently have their XM5s and it had connection issues.

Nope! I did say HD660 S2 not the previous HD660. Have tried several other Senns HD line and I think they are over hype and over price.
DealSeaker - I've understand it has no relevance, just pointing out Senn HP or ears buds are over hype.

I said HD660 simply out of laziness. As I said right at the beginning, it is a personal taste and to each their own. As for the review you mentioned, I was just pointing out the technical flaws in their statements. I would expect a review site to understand how bass works better than that.
