I just tested out my 80v one its pretty impressive in power but quite a bit more heavy than my other 20v model. I would personally go with the battery system that interests you the most. With the 48 volt it puts you both in the 48v and 24v tool line with is fairly large while the 80v is quite a bit more expensive both on battery and tool.
