Update: don't get the thumbs down. But blind people can visit 3 camels and see themselves. It's been at this price for awhile. I'm in the market for an espresso machine and this one is in my list. So, I'm personally seeing this price for a while now.

It's a good machine, I use it daily. Dialing in the grind settings can sometimes be a little annoying with new beans in my experience and if you want to weigh or tamp yourself it's not ideal, but the built in grinder/hopper and auto grind is very convenient.
Single boiler on these as with the regular barista express, so you can't make espresso and froth your milk at the same time.

Check out HomeGoods for these. I saw this (Barista Express Impress) there for $500 in Newton, MA last week. I bought a blue Barista Pro (before impress was made) at one in Boston 2 years ago for $500, and saw a silver Pro (not impress) for $300 in a Quincy, MA Marshalls a few days ago. I know it's ymmv, but worth looking.

Some people sure love their coffee...or showing off kitchen gadgets.
It's a good gadget, should last you a decade with minimal maintenance based on prior versions from breville. I make 3 espresso shots per day on average, having this instead of a cheaper Nespresso saves 50+ cents per day in beans vs pods. Will pay off in a few years and I get to have a cooler gadget that can make better coffee.
You can go a little cheaper with some other espresso machines, but will need a separate grinder and it's not a huge difference in the end. This is a pretty good value for all in one solution
