I have about $100 in gamestop credit and 6 months of a pro membership. Store is barely worth visiting tbh. If you lock into $300+ credit you are basically committing to buying next gen console here.

And they still do the wildly ridiculous practice of breaking the seal on new consoles.

Does Gamestop ever have sales on their used Xbox Series X? It looks like last year they only took $50 off the new console on Black Friday.

Same... I posted to FBM for $225 cash and got lots of "I'll give you $150" responses. I don't need the store credit, but I'd rather just do this than f around with FBM buyers anymore.
$150 isn't a fair deal nor is $225 esp when we are now approaching pre early holiday season. But I get

you can also buy fake pokemon games from wish and trade them into 89% of gamestops without their employee's knowing the difference, because they dont train anybody on anything, and they have bootlegs and defective retro games out the arse lol
That is what you would call fraud and one can only hope karma bites you in the arse one day for doing that. If that is in fact what you are doing.

You also get a $5 monthly credit. I use it monthly on a pack of cards. You're paying 25 up front yeah, but you get your value retuned throughout the year by using your 5 dollar credit on things 5 or less every month, and deals like this.
I only used the $5 credit on PSN cards. Now they removed that option so it's no longer worth it.

like these big corporations have any sense of morals. There only goal is maximizing their profits and enrich their CEOs. At the cost of their employees and customers.

I get your POV and not denying it. All in all We easily vote with our wallet, and have a freedom of choice to live the best we can possibly get. I'll leave it as that.

Pro tip: you can rob most GameStop stores at gunpoint and get away with it most of the time. Why commit fraud with bootleg games when you can just have them hand you the cash instead?

You make the crime too hard my friend!

You're welcome!

The problem with what he is doing is not just the fraud/theft he is committing against the "big corporation" as you put it, but also they are going to turn around and unknowingly sell it to another innocent customer. Morals be damned he's screwing over the little guys also.

I counter that with 3rd party launchers coming to Xbox, like steam, so 80% of PlayStation games will be on Xbox.
Until it is working and the details are revealed, that feature is basically vaporware. Just because they "want" it to happen doesn't mean it ever will.

Series X TIV for pro member as of today: $357.50 credit + $25.00 = $382.50. $250.50 cash (lowball IMO) Finally bought one for $300 used private sale. I got tired of waiting 9 months for better deal to come back since then and it worth no more than that. Series X > Series S all day
If you trade or purchase the 1TB Series S, you will now get a full UHD output as opposed to the original which was only 1440p. True the CPU is still inferior to the X, but either as a budget console (which still works VERY well) or as a second console (as I have it used as because when my grandson is here he monopolizes the X) it is a GREAT option.
