What I bought in Japan fit in a woman's purse(no jewelry). Came home on zipair in July 2024.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
What I didn't like about zipair was their strict weight limit on carry-on bags. Paying for checked in bags are fine. Their rates are too cheap to pass up, especially if you're paying for seats for young kids. My flight back to the state was a "day care in the sky". I have never seen so many kids on an airplane before.

Ban any deals for travel to Japan without a checked bag built into the price. No one is going without buying stuff to bring back lol

Oh wow, so nobody is buying more than what fits in a woman's purse. Since that is what you did it must be true for everybody's experience and nobody should even bring luggage to Japan.

Been to Japan 5 times now. The food I get at the airport from 7/11 doesn't fit in a woman's purse. 😂😂😂😂

Seriously, my friends and I ended up buying an extra duffel bag to carry all the stuff we bought because we had only brought a medium luggage each.
Between my gf and I. We had two mediums half full of our clothes etc packed in two empty large luggage. plus i only go during February so we need thicker clothes. Also had two carry on duffle bags 😒😂😂

Most of the time with checked bag + meal, zip air is cheaper than others. Zipair flys a batch of 787 with refurb interior. Can't guarantee that with other airlines.
You're going to say their seats don't have build in entertainment center, bring your own device will cost another 1000 extra, that's the going price of a new iPad 13".

Correct. As it should. The cheaper option is there for those that can pack a meal and manage their expectations for their luggage restrictions.
Nah, the cheaper option is an ACTUAL deal. I have $855 3 leg trip to Singapore and Tokyo booked for Feb. That's what a deal looks like. This is just normal priced flights being posted daily by zipair shills.

2. Meal (I just pack sandwiches and some instant noodles)
3. Just need to add one carry on sized bag for me.
Some people don't need all the bells and whistles and just need to get to point A to B. That's what a low cost carrier is.
