Saw this offer on multiple chase cards. Language is a little unclear as to whether two payments with the first being small and the second being $50 would qualify or if you need 2x $50 payments, but here it is. I got it 3/6. Word is there might be a VZ version floating around but I have not seen it personally.

Yes. You can pay manually with a card and keep your autopay discount.
Not true at all, I have my auto-pay set to a debit card that has nothing on it and I manually pay with my credit card before my bill is due. I still recieve the autopay discount.
The autopay discount does require bank ACH or debit card payments but you can log in and pay all or a portion of the bill with a credit card before the automatic payment is triggered.

Be careful with Verizon and autoplay discount. I made a $50.01 and $51.01 payment and got the dreaded e-mail. I had to call and get it cleaned up. Be warned.

"Your Auto Pay discount has been suspended.
Hi Xx xx,
Due to a one-time credit card payment, you will see a debit adjustment in the amount of your Auto Pay discount totaling $50.00 on your next bill.
The monthly Auto Pay discount you receive requires you to make payments with the bank account used to enroll in Auto Pay and be enrolled in paper-free billing. A one-time payment was processed on your account outside of these terms and has resulted in the loss of the discount for this billing cycle."

This is exactly what I do with the Tmobile sharks.

First, I dedicate a "sock drawer" bank account for autopay (Tmobile seems to allow themselves to get hacked every other month, they aren't getting my main bank account!). I leave enough in that account to cover a monthly bill plus around $50. If I forget or have an emergency, all the bill is covered that month. Set that up on Tmobile as my "Autopay" account.

NOW- Once the bill comes out, I log in to Tmobile and make a one-time payment from my preferred CC for a few cents less than the full bill. Depending on my mood I configure to pay it that day or in the future at least 5 days before Tmobile pulls from the Autopay account. (I give myself slack in case any problems with the CC).

Once the bank account is set, really all I do is spend a couple minutes each month logging in and paying ALMOST the entire bill from the saved credit card on my account.

Have done this since Tmobile tightened the screws and I always get the autopay discount despite nearly everything still going on the credit card. I have a feeling Tmobile will try getting even nastier about this loophole in the future, at which time maybe it's time to go prepaid.

I do almost the exact same thing only difference is I pay the entire amount with the credit card exactly 72 hours before the autopay comes out.

I keep a backup debit card from a credit union my emergency stash card that's linked to T-Mobile for the autopay discount. However I pay my entire bill with the credit card and still get the auto pay discount. I do this because my Wells Fargo credit card has cell phone protection, if you pay the bill through them.

I'd rather pay through Wells Fargo and in case something happens I can make a claim with them to replace my phone. I agree with you if they ever cut off this loophole I may be looking for MVNO or cheaper prepaid option, they already raised my plan 2 lines and extra $5 each by going back on there price lot guarantee so being a loyal customer means nothing to them, so I would go where the grass may not be greener but definitely cheaper.

I got the Verizon offer but not the T-mobile offer. It's as if they know if you have used the cc to pay for t-mobile in the past they won't give you this offer? A way to make you switch?

Didn't T-mobile change their policy so now if you use a credit card, the autopay discount isn't applied? I thought you only get it now with debit cards or direct bank payments.
Not for customers who grand fathered in plans like Simple Choice. They don't get any discounts for auto paying through ACH.

Is there option to pay Tmobile post paid with credit card?
I thought they asked all payment to pay with ACH from Bank.

You can split your payment and pay most of your bill with a credit card and leave small amount for auto draft from your bank account

If anyone gets the 50$ credit for back to back payments on one of the chase cards please let us know--normally chase offers don't take more than 2-3 days for the few I used.

In the past, I went to ATT store and buy charger/phone case for $76-80. Asked employees to split to 2 transactions and charge the same card. $75 credit posted on my account later. Anybody know of it still work?

I have had similar offers for AT&T in the past on several cards. AT&T also requires debit card or ACH payment to get the full autopay discount, but they let you prepay on your account with credit cards so I always just do the minimum required for the offer. I've had some for AT&T fiber and they also worked for payment on my cell account. When I get an offer where multiple payments are needed I just make separate payments just above the offer minimum (and making sure I leave a few $ for autopay via debit card).
