They used to finely grind up the pepper and put it in the seasoning, now it's added on in bigger grains, effectively making original recipe just peppered jerky with slightly less pepper.
One bite is good, the next is burning your mouth biting into peppercorn.
Felt this relevant to mention. They didn't advertise it, and I made the mistake of buying their nasty (in my opinion) new original (yes it's an oxymoron, they're that smart over there) recipe jerky.
