I thought these were a pretty neat design, until I actually tried to use them. As a chisel, it tears up your left hand, as a rasp or file you can't hold the tip to get the leverage or control you would with a dedicated tool.

Thank you good sir! Is it just me, or does it seem like tools are the only thing that is decresing in price while everything else is extremly overpriced?

That's what I thought when I looked at them. TBH, I think people are better off getting a cheap set of chisels, and then getting a single rasp/file. You don't typically need 3 different sizes. And if you do, you probably don't mind having a normal set.
I personally recommend getting a "4 way wood rasp". If you are just starting off, get whatever is cheapest. I do have more than a dozen files and rasps now. But this cheap tool is a great little practical go-to when woodworking.

This was my first thought. Also if your tenons are deep enough you're likely to mess up the edges on your openings with the file portion on accident.
The application is quick fix general wood working:
- Quick rasp a little off an end
- Chip/chop to fit
- Keep Large one in a Tool belt/bag for miscellaneous

NOT high-end (or even mid level) woodworking.
