Also, wanted to add you can check pricing and inventory on the Costco app. Should look something like this from this thread. https://slickdeals.net/f/17709738

If I'm not mistaken like the last clearance price its reflected across all states. I'm seeing some stores showing $899.97 still on the app inventory checker, but on Same Day Delivery or the Costco website it isn't showing any stock for those stores which leads me to believe no stock left or a display is showing.

Great price. Not sure if the price will drop further or not.
Last year C3 was ~$400 via Same-Day Delivery

It's an OLED. There is no backlight.

Honest question: enough of an upgrade from a 48" C2?
To me, no. It's about 10% brighter and adds 144hz instead of 120hz. I'm sure there are probably other smaller improvements to UI speed, but still doesn't seem worth it.

It has to be the store you bought it from for a price adjustment. I bought one 2 weeks ago. It's not in stock in the original store. I called other local stores. 1 had it still at $899. The other at $699. I mentioned I bought it 2 weeks ago and asked if I could just come in for a price adjustment. She said yes. She then called me back a couple minutes later (my cell number must be linked to my account). She mentioned that I failed to disclose that I bought it from xx store. Because it's out of stock at xx store I can't get a price adjustment. She said I need to return it to xx store and buy another from them at the new price. Or I assume buy one at the new price and then return one to the original store to get the $899 back. I haven't hooked it up yet so it's still new in box.
Just to follow up on my post above. I brought the one I bought for $900 back to the store I did not buy it from but still had them in stock at $699. I verified they did indeed have them at $699 in stock. I then went to CS to see what my best course of action was. Should I return the old one first, buy the new one first? He sent me to a supervisor who went in and just did the price adjustment and gave me a $213 credit back to my card. Again, I haven't had an opportunity to open it yet so I didn't have to disassemble and re-box or anything like that. I just had to load it in the car to have in case I needed it.

No. Unless you need a TV I would not bother.

Rtings has the C2 at 8.8 and the C4 at 9.0, so barely an upgrade, and on top of that the 42" and 48" C4 models don't get as bright as the larger sizes, so that really knocks it back down to like an 8.9 imo.

I would just sit tight unless you either need a TV for another room, there is an issue with your current C2, or you just have money burning a hole in your pocket (nothing wrong with that 🙂).

That isn't true, you can just go in and get the price adjustment as long as it is in stock and on sale at the store you are doing it at. It does not need to be the same store you bought it from. If you get any pushback you can just ask for a manager. My BIL is the GM of a Costco and I am a longtime member. I am 100% positive of this policy.

Edit: nvm, I see you added that you were ultimately successful! Noice! 👍

But it can be any store, correct? Not just the one I bought it from?
Yes, it can be any store that has it in stock at that price. Don't listen to the other replier, just go in with your receipt.

Unless you're upgrading to something with an MLA panel, I would just keep using the C2 until it dies or burns in

You can get another $40 off by buying two $100 Instacart gift cards from Costco (instant delivery) for $160.

Yeah, thanks. They did tell me this at 2 stores though in case you want to let your BIL know. My original thinking is what you mentioned. I called the store only to see if it was in stock and then the woman called me back (which I do appreciate) to tell me I couldn't price match because the store I bought it from was out of stock. Anyway I called the store I bought it from just to verify they were indeed out of stock (they were) and that lady told me the same thing that yeah I couldn't get a price adjustment because they were out of stock at that store (to her credit she may have meant they couldn't price match in her store).

Anyway, I got the refund. It only cost me an hour of time total and the loading of my unopened box back into the minivan. The supervisor DID do the adjustment without me having to take the TV out of the car or doing any return just to re-buy type scenarios.

For anyone else reading, call your local store even if they are out of stock to verify. When I bought mine 2 weeks ago, prior to going, Costco online showed "low stock". They had 3 when I got there. After I bought one and came home it showed as "not in stock". I find it very hard to believe they sold the other 2 that day. I heard of the sale that morning but couldn't go until like 7pm that night. The store closed like an hour after I got it. I'm guessing when there is like 1 or 2 left they show as not in stock so that someone doesn't buy it out from under you while you're traveling in? Just a guess.

The TV just recently hit shelves, so this price is pretty nutty. congrats to those who grab one.
