Unboxing video if you want to watch it in the flesh.

I find this to be a great buy, but google says it can be had on ebay for $350 from semi reputable merchants, so the fact this is legit Ashford for $299 does makes this a compelling buy to me....
Comes with two straps - both are hideous.
Would recommend an immediate replacement with a 22mm quick release rally leather strap from anywhere.
Key notes: Swiss history brand, rock solid ETA movement, sapphire crystal, color matched window, dial size is ok but at 42mm for a "dress" watch, I'm of the opinion with a substantial watch face and black coating this will wear LARGE.
The orange on black dial looks awesome to me.
Edited to remove L2L as I do not know it.

The orange on black dial looks awesome to me, but looking at stainless versions of my Seiko Orange Monster and Orient Mako make me think this will be a pass for my collection.

While Lug to Lug measurements ("L2L") are oft overlooked both in specs sheets and in design implementation - it's probably the most important detail to know. Even then, say a L2L of the same size 52mm, on one watch could extend from the watch face straight out flat while on another watch design 52mm could physically curve down successfully "hiding" the length wrapping around.
I'm completely average at 5''10" and 175lbs but I know I have flat and wide wrists over average. So I happily wear 50mm L2L, can stretch it to 52mm L2L given its purpose, and would not buy a watch without trying it on at 54mm.
Problem is, most watches used to be sized with a dial 38-40mm round, and the lugs would extend out to length wise 46-50mm, very practical.
But as styles changed and design trends grew larger over time, the watch faces grew to 42-46mm round and instead of purposefully designing lugs to work with the dial and human arm, most manufactures just scaled their lugs larger proportionally with the dial face pushing L2L to 50-54mm which can make for problems on average sized wrists.
What you want to avoid is the lugs being so long as to extend out past your wrist and overhanging stretched out into the air such that the strap now awkwardly pivots straight down at 90 degrees (or even worse back onto itself) in order to wrap around your wrist. Now some people may wear a watch in this fashion and not give two cents about what people think and that's perfectly fine, but most would say it's a poor fit.
Best advice is to find a watch or two you have around and like to wear and find out it's L2L with calipers or on google - that way moving forward you know your L2L limits.
Forgot to add: based on your skin tone, because this watch is PVD black body, I would imagine if the lugs are too long for a wrist, that look would be exaggerated by the dark color of the watch.
Edit… removing stated L2L, I don't know it…
I have a 14 year old Mido Multifort, reference 8810, with the Valjoux 7750 movement. It has been such a great watch, especially for the price. Both Mido and Hamilton are great value propositions in the Swiss automatic world imho.

I quick google search just now had a reference to the 42mm multifort as L2L as 53.5mm.

After watching the video though I'm a little bit more confused. he says that it's 54 mm end link to end link after talking about the male end links. I'm questioning where he was actually measuring for an L2L.
EDIT: I found the lug to lug on another site/review (as long as all special editions in the black pvd case measure the same). It's 48.7mm which makes me feel better. Link below: if you scroll to the spec chart it gives the lug to lug in the box with the other case dimensions.
