I'm in the market for my first tablet and don't want to spend a lot in case I don't like it. Do you have any suggestions?
Unlike phones, for tablets Android's market share is very limited compared to Apple.
- On the lower end I would suggest the iPad 9th gen currently on sale for $199 at a lot of retaillers.
- For Android a good lower end decent option is the Samsung A9+ which comes up periodically for around $130 (or even less through Metro By T-Mobile).

Example review: " Seller is selling "gray" market items, which are items designated for another market like Mexico or Spain, not USA. Tablet came up in Spanish and did not give United States as an option for country when setting up tablet. This also means the warranty will be null and void if needed. I asked seller before purchase and they replied the item was brand new and that they were authorized seller. This is not true and Walmart should do a better job vetting these sellers."

I used A9+ from Metro deal. It is so laggy I cıuld not used it and gaveie as tradein to bestbuy for $70. If you only read books pr just watch youtube it may be ok but if you open twp apps at the same time it is very hard to use. This is for 4gb version.
This compared with ipad 9. Which one has better specs like processor and hardware.
ipad 9 10.2 inch is more powerful. But I'm very invested in the Android ecosystem so I can't afford to get an iPad and rebuy all the games and apps. If you are not you are free to choose either. Right now iPad 9 256GB is 379 on Amazon. The base version 64GB is only 200.

The person I was replying to was looking to "cheaper" options. He didn't ask for $100 options.
