This is completely nonsense. These are regulated by the government and guaranteed. iPhone users are more than 50% of the Type 1 Diabetic population these are designed for. Also, $7 each is a laughably low price. If you bought them for $7, you didn't buy a Dexcom G7 my friend. Also, why aren't you reselling them? They are going for ~90$ per sensor on the internet. That's like buying a can of Coke for a few pennies, a laughably low price. I think this is either a bot or a spammer.

Source: I have used this product for 9 months and I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for 31 years.

Edit, updated wrong price.

You are talking about after deducting from your medical insurance, without insurance, there is no way you can get if for $7.

Funny $180 a month PLUS a online dr visit went front page but half off and no Dr consult it a bad deal 🤷 ♂️ https://slickdeals.net/share/ipad_app/fp/885493

It doesn't affect anything. It just not compatible with insulin pumps. Stelo updates cgm readings every 15 min vs every 5 min on g6-g7. Also Stelo doesn't give low bg alerts, only for spikes.
OK I don't have insulin pump so I should be ok then. I don't need the alert as long as I can see the reading I guess. Thanks

So here's another question. It says that it may not track for 15 days. 20% will not track more than 12 days. Is that battery or memory storage issue? Was going to buy until I read that part. Hard to jump on these now.

That is the lifespan of the actual unit I believe. They are saying it should last 15 days, but some may only last 12.

Curiosity mainly. My last blood test was 2 years ago, got a 101 fasting glucose but 5% Hba1c, this seems like less of a hassle than doing another blood work.
Damn, me too lol. Same boat 😅

Perhaps a silly question but why would (most) 'non diabetics' need or want blood glucose data recorded so regularly to warrant something like this? Just curious of the use case outside of prescribed usage. No judgement of course.
For me, I want to test a few things for myself. I want to test if allulose really lowers the glucose spike of high sugar things. I also want to see if my allulose goodsam chocolate will raise glucose. I'm paying for perfect amino only because I claims not to break a fast, I want to see that. I also want to test how acv lowers the curve for me b4 carbs. I'm also curious on butter and ghee. I think personally testing and not going off what other people say is key because I ate trail mix and didn't spike at all while my MIL spiked 40 points.

Makes sense, how long do you plan on wearing this for? Short term, long term, until your 'testing' feels complete?

My glucose numbers can be oddly very low at times (non fasting, fasting is always 'normal' and higher than non fasting #'s....) so I do understand the desire to pin down the causes.

So which one is better? Lingo or Stelo? Not a diabetic and will use it to see how food impacts blood sugar since I only eat one meal a day. I have an iPhone

This is their regular price. They declared this price in all the news channels. This is cheaper version for the real ones that is available thru prescription.

So it will collect the data and transfer it to the app once it reconnects? If that's the case I'm good to go.
I believe my G7 says it will store data for approx 24 hrs--so as long as you aren't away from your phone longer than that it will work... but still more helpful to get real-time data IMO, so you may end up being inspired to carry your phone more!

similar reasoning, I'm also not diabetic but gained weight after chemotherapy/menopause. I'd lost weight in the past with a lower-carb (not true keto) diet, and wanted to experiment with that and see if I could gamify my weight loss by learning more about what spiked my blood sugar, if food order or combination mattered, how much certain exercises helped etc. I paid for the signos subscription (g7 monitor) for 6 months when it was on sale for $149/mo--I've been using it for 6 weeks (I've lost 6 lbs!). This deal is great and I knew it was coming out eventually but was tired of waiting for them to release the OTC version. The first 24 hrs after placement the readings are unreliable for me--I think the overall trends are accurate but the exact number value is not, but then it gets accurate. I've tested it against a finger stick and it was off by 2 points (my G7 read 93 and my fingerstick 91) I've also tested it against a lab draw, my g7 said I was 100 right when they took my blood and my lab results said I was 92... so it's "close" but not exact. But for my purposes totally fine.
