I would avoid it if you're on a well. Carbon is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria.

I have a version of this filter hooked up to my fridge. It's good for up to 2 years. Works well enough. Cheaper than the tiny refrigerator filters which are all made by waterdrop anyway.

I've used these for years and they always screw up my cold water pressure. Ended up putting in a separate tap for filtered water.

Just sediment. If your well has a funny taste then there's something going on like iron, manganese, bacteria etc. If you're worried about heavy metals there are heavy metal filters out there.

That's because it throttles the water down to .75gpm max. The water needs contact time to work.
