Check your local Home Depot for inventory. Mine had several in 73127 where you peeled a flyer in the top of the photo attached to the return desk and they would grab one in a locked grate.

They communicate with each other without hardwiring. They can be programmed for each room. So they will all alarm "fire in boys bedroom". Plus the combo with carbon. They have a few other features but those are the main ones.

Forgot easy silence from the app, plus they test themselves to make sure the alarm beeps are still audible, and they last FOREVER on some batteries

So you blame the detector and not your poor choice of location and lack of recommended maintenance?
