I bought this consistently throughout the summer for $15.99 a bag on Amazon. Seems to be a case of raise the price and apply discount to make it look like a great deal.

Buy a good test kit to start. Stock up on muriatic acid and have some extra salt on hand. Download the pool math app and it will guide you through adding whatever is needed to balance your pool. We are new pool owners (construction finished in May) and have been doing all the maintenance on our own.

Agreed the $25 price is inflated. It's still the lowest the price has ever been according to CCC. It hasn't been under $15 since 2022.

Also get pool rx for keeping the metals in the water out, also a water clarifier every week or so is great. All the other mentioned items from others are essential though you will need those for sure. Home Depot or Lowe's has Muriatic acid in cases of 3 or 4 I usually get those. My heated salt water pool/spa has water features and the ph runs high because of those features so constantly using Muriatic acid.

**Also you will not need this stabilizer (cyanuric acid) in the winter depending on where live of course. If you live somewhere cold during winter switch to chlorine tablets and you can turn the chlorinator off.
