I have many hydro flask bottles. Also Yeti, Contigo, Camelback, Stanley, and Zojirushi. I like Hydro flask lid options, colors, and sizes - smaller for coffee and larger for tea or water. Kids love those bottles. However, they are second worst for heat retention, after Contigo. Barely able to hold hot tea for an hour. Probably depends on the lid type, but I've had problems with all kinds of lids. After 3-4 hrs, your boiling hot tea will be lukewarm. Compare this to Zojirushi and Stanley - it's going to be hot the whole day. My Stanley is the real thermos designed for outdoors, so no surprise there, but Zojirushi blew my expectations, considering the bottle is very light. Yeti is the heaviest, it holds heat well also, but not as good as the other two.
