I picked up at home Depot because of the leaking reviews.
On primos website there is a potential to pay return shipping, plus a restocking fee. And their return starts from the date of shipment, not when you receive.
The extra ten dollars is worth it for me to get it at home Depot.

We've had a top loading primo for 4-5 years now and it's been great. Take it apart and clean out the inside once a year or so. And we also have a dog dish right at the bottom. Hate to replace the one that's been working great, but this might be pretty dang awesome. Good find!

edit: ordered!

This is pretty good for a Dog, but I would not recommend this for a Cat. Cats naturally avoid standing water of any quality, and will only drink it when they have to.
On the other hand, they are naturally drawn to running water and will drink it much more readily.
Since Cats, and especially Male cats, are prone to urinary issues, you'd be much better off with a Cat fountain.

Bud there's a button with a paw print that you hit to fill up the water. It just doesn't automatically go in it

Do you know how long the warranty is at home depot? I'm curious how many leak. I work at a drug rehab and we switched from bottom loader to top loaders. The one does leak. It's not primo tho

Home Depot said 90 days on the product page. The primo site says 30 days from date of shipment.

I've had this unit for 5 years now. It's worked really well. Last year I tried to clean it and flush it out with vinegar and water and then it started leaking. But I ended up dumping the water inside and draining the entire thing and it hasn't leaked again.

I have had a primo for about 5 years now from Walmart. They are super loud if you keep the heater on and the back gets very hot. There's a switch to turn off the heating part but it kinda defeats the purpose if you need a dispenser. We don't use the heater so it's fine for us - just wanted to let you know it's VERY annoyingly loud

Never had one of these. Does it come with the bottle/jug or do you have to get them from somewhere?

Does not come with. If your Lowe's or depot have the jugs, you pay a deposit on each jug bought.
