If you are currently in the market for a cheap ultra wide for general work, this is a good deal. If you don't mind waiting a bit longer the 34BQ77QB is a better deal. It is currently not delivering (or at least where I'm at) but it is available for pickup for $250.

If this is the same one from a few months ago, my USB ports are pretty finicky and stop working pretty often until I do a restart or reset.

Anyone know how this monitor compares to the 34WQ500-B that's currently on sale for $229 at LG/Best Buy? https://slickdeals.net/f/17718717-34-ultrawide-fhd-1080p-100hz-vesa-displayhdr-400-ips-monitor-with-amd-freesync-at-lg-229-99?src=SDSearchv3. For some reason, LG won't let me compare those 2 side by side.

Hard pass on that one, you don't want 1080p at anything larger than a 24".

Highly discourage getting a flat ultra wide at this size and suggest a curved ultra wide for anything over 30".
Totally agree that curve display make a big difference at this size when you are going to be sitting up close and working

Is there an equivalent 34" Ultrawide 4k monitor you know of that's $250?

Because you can see a wide viewing area, 3440x1440 to be exact. 4k looks terrible if you don't scale it, and when you do scale it, it still looks blurry on Windows, and once you scale it to 1.5x it'll only have a real estate of 2560x1440 which is much smaller than this monitor.

This could be good to mod Arcade1up pinball to a 34" screen.

I've got the curved version of this and it has been great, rock solid. It's wide enough though that I'm not sure I would get the flat version.

... Here's the link in case it's available for others: LINK [staples.com]. Thanks much for posting, helpful.
Even a couple days later there was still one on the floor of my local Staples, and it even rung up at $199. Great find OP, and thank you for the link to the curved one! [fistbump]

This is a fine ultrawide if you are not going to game on it. 60hz is not optimal for gaming, ideally you get 144hz+. But for productivity, it is fine. I would also recommend a curve at this size, especially if you don't have a ton of space.

This same monitor except with a curve and with an internal docking station was posted in April for the same price:

https://slickdeals.net/f/17453433-34-lg-ultrawide-wqhd-curved-ips-monitor-w-built-in-90w-usb-c-docking-station-250-free-shipping?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

I recently purchased my own ultrawide. I was going to buy this April deal, but ultimately decided to get a monitor with a higher refresh rate so I could use it for both work and productivity.

Back from staples. Online pickup order doesn't let me use $15 off coupon, so I went to the store instead. The curved monitor rang up $199.99, $50; cheaper than the online price. Also saw advertisement of 20% teacher's coupon which took additional $40 off, apparently one need to be a teacher with ID. So I paid $159.99 plus tax. Also received additional 3000 reward points for spending more than $60 in store.
Great deal for me.
By the way, still many availability in Pittsburgh area.

why does staples.com product page like for a monitor states save $1200 more on middle of page above another monitor yet adding both to cart doesn't correlate to anything near $1200... sad

Just picked one up in-store for $199.99 too plus the $15 back. The sticker said $249.99 but it rang up $50 less. Thanks for the heads up!

Never mind. It was a mirage. They were really sold out. Same thing happened with the one available in Whittier as well.
