Vegan Leather = Vinyl
The marketing genius who came up with this.
Bonded leather is no more leather than wood veneer over pressboard is wood.
Nothing beats a quality leather, except for cost of the material. And for those who care about the environment. If I toss a "vegan leather" surface out, it breaks down into micro-plastics that float around for a millennea. Real leather is biodegradeable, it will decompose andl return to the earth from which it came.
I'm going to start using the term "vegan inteligence". Polically correct language.

Are these just a knock off Human Touch Perfect Chair or are these better in some way (price obviously)?

Bonded leather = little leather scraps glued together and then bonded to some sort of fabric or PU. It is the worst possible version of leather.

Genuine leather is the next worst. I would never buy either of those types of leather.
Split leather, top grain, and finally full grain is the best in that order. I would buy any of these.
Your post made me realize I know nothing about leather. Can you explain further?

Well, unfortunately the names are all over the place.

For quality they go like this, and I will try to explain the differences too.

Bonded Leather - Barely leather, basically scraps and bits of leather material glued together and then glued to fabric or PU material to hold it all together.

Genuine Leather - Very similar to bonded, but with bigger bits but still glued together

Split leather - This is real leather, and is what most people would call suede, but can be processed to be smooth too. The hide includes two thick layers, the underside of which is generally referred to as split, but this is the "bottom layer".

Top Grain - This is the other half of the split leather, but is the smooth "outer" side of the leather (hence term "top" grain). This is a little thinner and easier to work with, so many products like shoes, handbags, wallets, jackets, etc. are made from this layer.

Full Grain - This is the whole hide, including the split layer and top grain layer all in one. It is the thickest and can be hard to work with, but is the most durable of all the leathers. Couches and car seats are things often made with this product.

I chose fake leather this time. Main reason I'm replacing my current ZG chair is due to the bonded leather tearing and separating. Granted I got nearly 20 years of service out of it, but other fake leather items I've seen tend to look better as they get use/age.

same happened to my zvago zero G chair. Bonded leather just started to crumble off, and I couldn't figure out what to cover it with to still keep it. Now have a zvago with fake leather and couldn't care less.

My previous research a few decades ago pretty much matches up with this...the caveat being that nearly ALL real leather furnishings are either bonded or 'genuine' until you get past the $2K point, and only then will you find better grain leathers, and for sofas you're looking at $3K plus before seeing grain leathers used. I still don't know enough about it to be able to tell just looking at furniture, but having blown $4K on a Natuzzi soft leather sofa which looks great for nearly three decades, I still feel the daily wear and tear on leather suffers aesthetically, and fake leathers could hold up better, especially for real-world daily use, but we're getting into the weeds to begin comparing the quality of fake leathers.

You can get sofas and armchairs nowadays for cheaper that use full grain leather on the seating area, backrest, and arms, but use fake leather on the back, sides, and bottom. Basically get the look and durability of real good grain leather for quite a bit less.

I highly recommend using this for a workstation. Here's a subreddit with a few implementations for inspiration: https://www.reddit.com/r/Recliner...kstations/

I'd buy it IF it's top grain letter. All vegan/bonded leather won't last long - they will peel off after a few years.
