Just FYI, bullseye deals is the Target returns eBay store. I've purchased 4 items from them via Slickdeals and all 4 have come in used condition. Not refurbed, but dirty and 2 were nonfunctional. They were quick to refund, but 50 percent success isn't worth wasting my time on. Two of the purchase were children's toys and 2 were housewares.

Does this mean I can't buy two and race em together because of the 2.4 frequency? (It's been a long time since I've played with these things)

You can. The transmitter and receiver gets paired up and will ignore info from a non paired transmitter on the same frequency. Goodbye checking crystal channels. woot

Anyone try and "Make an Offer" for lower for the purple truck? I'm going to go for it and report back. Says they still have over 1000 in stock.

Offered $9 and seller said I was "close" to what they would accept, bid $1 more and awaiting again.

The 2.4ghz frequency has a small range of channels so you can have a bunch of things using it at the same time. May have to adjust sub channel if the setting is available. Some things that may interfere with the signal include WiFi, cordless phones, and most annoying is microwave ovens which will often operate at that frequency as well. Most of the time you should be ok though.

That would make this a huge gamble since the reviews for new ones on amazon aren't great with people talking about how they break instantly

Just so everyone knows about bulls ideals on eBay: with an item like this that they have hundreds of you will probably get a new item. When they only have one or a small quantity, you're probably getting something defective and most likely returned even if it says new. I've bought many many things from them and their customer service is horrible And they are basically selling clearance and returned items. Just know what you were getting into and be willing to go the eBay refund route if you don't get what they said.
