If you don't need the battery you can get the $199 hackable set which prorates the sawzall as $110.62 and 5.0 as $88.38

Yes. Just did that. Add two items separately, then the webpage does allow you to pick up at different stores. Essentially, compared to this $164 deal, adding separately shows $199 total (a frequent hackable deal before), while tool only is $110, making the 5Ah battery $54 ($164-110). And 5Ah regularly goes on sale for $90 two-pack ($45 each). So $110 tool only is better when you don't need a battery now.

The $164 deal is not separable at online checkout and can only be picked up at one location, so it's very YMMV depending on your store to ask them to cancel the battery, which yields a just sub $100 tool only. So about a $10 difference.

1-1/4 in. vs 7/8 in. stroke length for the hackzall. Also, sawzall is more comfortable two-handed for demo type work. Hackzall can reach in tighter spaces, but less controllable / precise if using one handed.

I've been wanting a sawzall! im Just having both items shipped to my door then will go return the battery at home Depot in person.

Thanks! My current Milwaukee m18 sawzall is 2008 vintage. My hands will thank you as new reported to have less vibration.
