I just went to look for the one that I use with all the comments on here and it has a $10 off coupon making it only 13.99. I have used 2 of these daily (an extra for when I misplace 1) for a couple years. No problems at all. I've never used a Milwaukee, and I have no clue why you would pay quadruple the price for one, but the one I use does addition, subtraction, area, volume, and even Pythagoras function.

Great deal. I've posted these before because I really do like these distance meters. Highly recommend.

I'm tempted, because some leaking duracell batteries essentially killed my Bosch one.. but I need to give my wallet a rest 😅

Perhaps there is something special about these, but if you are on a budget you can get a green laser unit with 120m range and +/-2mm accuracy on AliExpress for under $20. Green lasers are easier to see outdoors. Personally I think it would be a challenge to use any of these lasers at 100m unless it was totally dark and you were aiming at a very large target.

No, anything cheap, it doesn't matter green or red, it won't work. Bosch or Milwaukee, the laser goes pretty far, the only question is, can you see that far for a dot?

The Milwaukee looks significantly more rugged. That is about the only reason I could see buying the Milwaukee.

Good to know. This one appears to be 1/16 inch (0.15 cm), quite the difference!

They look about the same to me, both injection molded plastic, but when I looked closer at the Milwaukee, it has a way cooler display! Not worth 4x the money to me. I can break or lose mine twice and still be ahead!

Dang it. Ordered the OP one and will probably be returning it and buying this one. Dont desperately need either but i feel much better about the price of this one vs name brand.

Any suggestions on leveling lasers or tools to level ground before installing pavers?

It's hard to argue with 13 bucks for one of these. I've been using Bosch 60' units for about 6 years. They are incredibly useful. The only thing I could suggest is to make sure you test its accuracy periodically against a tape. Also, if you can get a green dot version for the same money [or even a bit more], you should get it. You might not use it outdoors that often but when you can, you'll wish you had a green dot.

Doesn't look like the best reviews. Unless there is something i'm missing it seems like the only reason to get Milwaukee over Bosch for lasers is so grown men can match the color of their tools. Milwaukee makes amazing stuff but its not like this uses proprietary batteries like power tools.

For a homeowner the knockoff Jmirage posted is too enticing to pass up. Edit: damn was deciding between the 165ft and 330ft model and the coupon got removed....

I have a version of this from Amazon I recently got and it's much more accurate than +/- 4 cm. More like +/- 1/2 in or better. I even use it outside and it works great! I love my Milwaukee tools but I'd never pay this much for a laser measure.

For that kind of distance, you'll be carrying a camera tripod to assure you're getting the right number. Commercial use.
