Bringing up a clear pricing mistake issue to try to discredit this deal is just wrong. I believe every digital platform (& physical retailer) has had pricing mistakes and all have done this exact same thing of REFUNDING the purchase at one point or another. Microsoft there did not just remove the content; they completely refunded the incorrect purchase price so people lost nothing, but now feel like they got cheated out of their price mistake pricing.

They messed up how they handled that, but it was a clear price mistake. This is not.

Or the fact that you can only watch this on Windows or an Xbox after buying. Great price, if you can watch it.

If you don't own it on a spinning disk, you don't own it. So think of this as a rental for a period that MSFT determines how and when you can watch and if they will support.

What justifications do you have to infer that there have been more than a couple times a digital license was revoked after purchase and the purchaser didn't get their money back (ie., customer lost out and could not obtain it digitally again).

Unless it's been an impactful number of times to be worried, then you're just spreading FUD, which is sad.

Well on Microsoft itself it happened w/ Zune, Playstation just tried it, Movies Anyware just turned off sharing, Ultraviolet shut down.

BTW none of the below were they ever talking about refunds BTW...

Redbox recently, all gone:
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2...om-owners/

I can go on but here is an article: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...al-movies/

Said mention of UV: https://www.howtogeek.com/403769/...-business/

Playstation: https://www.theverge.com/2023/12/...ship-sucks

PS part two: https://kotaku.com/sony-ps4-ps5-d...1851066164

This talks about MSFT doing away from optical, and the games will have issues also.

Just picked up the book today. I remember being hooked on the first 2 seasons and for some reason never finishing the show. This show should stay on Netflix indefinitely, no?

Probably but Netflix has taken shows down before [whats-on-netflix.com] and unless there's an uproar they can get away with it :-/

(The first two seasons were great, it really started cratering soon after)

They had to make it ever more absurd to keep her in prison so they could have another season, 2 seasons it should have ended. Many shows run out their premise like this.

I think shows run out of contractual rights for some IP and get pulled, if only the music.
