Beside the PITA of having to change batteries etc.
I've (in the past) just bought ones which have rechargeable batteries built in, from Amazon.

so add multiple stores to the cart and keep only with lowest cost.
GOOD NiMh batteries don't take to constant charge well. It damages them. So....what you get is low capacity, low grade cells. You find out when the unit finally gets seriously pathetic. Instead of putting new cells in it, now you have to throw away even more garbage.
I've opened up and capacity checked the batteries in a myriad of lights of this sort. Never found ANY that weren't lousy.
You don't NEED 2 sets of batteries. It's a motion activated LIGHT, not something that is required to burn 24 hours a day. Charge it when it needs it, then put it back to work. How awful would that be? Plus, pretty much every one has a need for AA batteries. Get a good charger, and some good cells and you are good to go.
Note - I have a LOT of motion activated lights all over the house to light up areas in the dark that I walk through. They use AAA/AA/C/D and lithium. ALL the NiMh are rechargeable. There is a BIG difference in these lights so it's difficult to make general observations, other than [more light = shorter battery life]
Many of the lithium are the flat 'under cabinet/in the closet' type that ARE USB rechargeable. I LIKE the form factor and they generally seem to be improving. But....the batteries generally are not very good and they are often needing far more frequent charging unless stationed in a place that gets little activation.
2nd Note - ANYTHING that is motion activated has CONSTANT electrical draw. So....even if almost never used the battery WILL still eventually go dead. Lithium batteries don't take well to going dead. If you are not the type willing to pay a modicum of attention, don't go there.
