I don't usually comment on products but an electrician and I installed about 50 of these inside and outside (soffit) my house and super happy with them.

Super low profile so joists aren't an issue.

Easy to pull back down (forgot to set the color on one).

Have had them about a year with no issues.

Just a note the 6" does not cleanly fill the hole left over from the removal of a 6" can light. You will need to purchase a goof ring, do drywall repair, or upside to a 7"

Literally the second bullet in the product description:

IC Rated: Amico's canless LED recessed light is IC rated, which is permitted to be in contact with insulations in ceilings, meaning the junction box is thermally protected.

Used a product that looks identical to these for my basement finishing project. I went with a direct mount tile ceiling and I actually have these suspended in/on the tiles (tile instructions say not to mount anything but they don't affect the tiles since they're so lightweight) with no problems, love them and have a handful of extras if ever needed. Been 2ish years and not an issue.

Paired most with Lutron smart switches and they're great.

Bought the "older" version and they work great without issues. Just got another 12 pack newer version from the poster with the link. 👍

This is a fantastic formfactor for ceiling lights, but when there is zero mention of Color Rendering Index (CRI) level in the listing, you can assume they are lower quality 80+CRi LEDs and not 90+CRI.

I mistakenly bought 80+CRI lights for my basement, and the light had a noticeable grey cast when dimmed. My in laws put in 80+CRI throughout their house and I can tell every time I go over there everything has a slight grey cast to it. They don't care much, so depends on the person at the end of the day.

These are the two types of these LED pucks I've installed in my house with the same form factor as OP but with 90+CRI.

Torchstar 5CCT 6in LED 90+CRI white housing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08X25H5H2

Powerasia 5CCT 6in LED 90+CRI black housing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TB8WGB2

My advice would be for smart switches you can set schedules for and control with your phone than smart bulbs with stand alone remote. I have a house full of TP-Link Kasa and Tapo switches/outlets that have been pretty bullet proof for me but I'm not into changing the colors and all that.
