Careful with this company. Though products do seem (and are) high quality, I received an email from them for a free product test. The representative offered to allow me to keep the flashlight for free after an Amazon positive review was submitted. In addition, they offered more free "gifts" if I was willing to submit Slickdeal articles.

Got my first Wurkkos a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed with the build quality and runtime on the battery..

I gifted one of these to a crew member about a year ago after trying it - at the time, I gave the edge to the FC11 for the magnetic base - glad they've added the magnetic tailcap to this model now.

I had an Olight unclip from my pants while hiking last year (felt really bad about that, battery in the desert sands, but I couldn't find it!), so I'm in for one. The Mini was a weird small-but-not-small-enough-for-keychain size, so I'm actually happy that this will be bigger, hopefully stay in my pocket better, and take a more common battery (I already have two of these 18650's and a charger, but I'm getting a battery included because it's just a couple bucks difference bundled in).

There parent company has been doing this for many years. I received a message on reddit probably 7 years ago now regarding Sofirn lights and was the same thing. Really turned me off from them.

WIth that said I still own 2 sofirn lights (IF25a and SP36), and 1 wurkkos.

Convoy are the superior budget lights. None of that greasy marketing.

edit: it should be noted this deal particularly is nothing special, not slick and definitely not front page worthy. It's good it's a high CRI emiter in 5k, so that is nice.

I personally prefer on/off button at the back of the flashlight, regardless of the brand, price range, lumens or build quality. I don't use the side button flashlights at all - During a dog walk at night, the need for a light is instant and having the button at the back is critical. There is no rotating of flashlight involved to find out where the button is.

Have had a couple of these battery versions. They all failed quickly.

It's funny because I'm exactly the opposite for the exact same purpose. I prefer to hold it with the light pointed in the same direction as my thumb rather than the reverse, so I can use it while holding my arm down while walking.

One thing I really like about this one is the "moonlight" mode. I can keep the flashlight going at a low setting to alert cars without having a blazing, bright light all the time. It also lets me use the flashlight in the house when others are asleep -- more than bright enough with decent night vision.

I think the number portion after the marketing keyword probably indicates the representative's number, but I could be mistaken.

Agree. Their flashlights are excellent. Product testing is 100% acceptable. But demanding a positive review and offering free gifts in exchange for Slickdeal articles is very off-putting. Queue here Aukey products.

Got a feeling now we'll see a lot more Wurkkos "deals" here...

I am sure this dude got a free gift and flashlight for example...
Chances are the OP probably got rewarded some as well. This particular light has been listed here around $16.50, so it's not really that slick.

Would be too bad if W would be banned, as the lights are good and competition helps innovation and low prices.

I own a couple of these now, I picked up the thrower from a recent SD post.

I'd say they're on par with Sofrin and other mid China mfgs, definitely have a quality feel to them compared to the old budget t6 flashlights.
