Anyone know what "$15 Amazon.com bounce back credit" actually is? Like, is this just general Amazon dollars that needs to be spent within a certain timeframe, or does it tend to have same-category spending restrictions?

It means 30 days after your order ships you should receive an email form Amazon stating you have a $15 promotional credit saved to your account. It can be spent on anything sold and shipped by Amazon (so no 3rd party sellers). Add an Amazon item to your cart and when you checkout it should automatically apply the promo to your order.

Personally, I use these promo credits on items I know I definitely will not return, or things that cannot be returned like food and beverages, as the promo credit is non-refundable should you have to return the item.

Also, as a CYA I always take a screenshot of the promo text itself, the little green progress bar (showing you've added enough items to your cart to qualify) and your cart before you checkout. They're usually pretty good with these, but as there is no record in the order invoice, or your account, it's good to have the proof if you have to chat them for your credit (Has happened twice to me over the last 8-9 years).

This didn't work for me. We needed to restock cat food, but it kept saying the promo couldn't be applied. Rep tried to tell me it was because it was only good for stuff sold and shipped by Amazon (which this was). She couldn't figure out why else it would reject, so she just added a $15 credit to my account instead. Same result in the end, but different road to get there...
