I use these for both my feral cat and the indoor cats, all seem to like them. One of my indoor cats loves to be warm and spends a lot of time in his bed with one of these mats. I do typically put a thin fleece blanket on top to help keep it cleaner longer and figure they shouldn't interfere with the self-warming part of the mat.

My cat loves this bed. I put it on my desk to keep her away from being on top of my keyboard/mouse. I'm typing this with her on it right now. She'll even wait for me to put it on my desk in the mornings before she lays down.
Definitely worth it. As for how "self warming" it is I can't speak to that. As a bed that cats like, def get it.
Bought this last winter for about the same price, and I will say my indoor cat loves it. She slept on it during the colder month's but hasn't touched it much since. The other night, it got to 52° and she was there when I woke up.
i have spent hundreds on othropedic dog beds for my cat. They liked them then i bought the cheap 8 dollar mats and now they prefer these over the nice beds. Oh well they do what they want, might buy a set to have a clean set ready every so often lol.
Bought a few of these of varying quality. I'm guessing because this is a known brand in pet bedding this will be of decent quality, but want to check before buying that the middle reflecting layer is actually of decent thickness and durability. I've bought some where the foil/mylar is basically on a very thin layer of foam like you sometimes see used in packing materials.

My cats like new things, which is to say, I rotate out their beds every few weeks
