If you're willing to dilute it yourself, you can get a 20 ounce container of 10% concentration Permethrin from tractor supply or equivalent for about the same price. If you diluted it down to .5% concentration (which this product is) you would get 380 ounces for the same price.
Not sure if this is a great price or not (I bought the 18 oz for $10 in June during the peak of the season at an equivalent of $15 for this amount) but for those that care the shelf life is about 10 years when stored out of the elements.
Exactly this... this deal is for 0.5% permethrin, so you are paying for 99.5% water and a spray bottle. Best use of permethrin (IMHO) is to soak hiking/outdoor clothing in a MUCH higher concentration of it, let it dry so it is stable, then wear them (washing as usual) for a season.

Did the same, $10-11 for the 18oz aerosol spray, cheapest per oz at the time. But if I didn't already have that I would definitely go for this. Prefer the multiple bottle and smaller size and non aerosol. This normally goes for $18 according to keepa so I would say good discount as long as you need it and value the packaging size.

You can also buy a large concentrated bottle then dilute it down

I recently purchased this for $19. It was the best value for the pre-mix I could find. One small bottle was good to saturate a couple of shirts, 2 pair of lightweight pants, and two pair of socks with some leftover. I sprayed my packs and shoes with the leftover. This is a solid deal for those who want an easy way to protect from Ticks.

This is a great suggestion. The Tractor Supply site says the solution is oil based so it may affect/stain fabrics. I may still try it because a 20x dilution is a lot of water.
I have never done it before and just did some quick reading but this part seemed important
"Concentrated permethrin solutions are also available in many feed and hardware stores but you want to be careful to avoid any permethrin or permethrin that includes petroleum distillates."
For me, I will probably stick with pre-made Sawyer stuff as I don't use enough to warrant the extra effort and don't really want to risk any extra additives.

Also read up on pets around permethrin, especially cats. Fine after it is dry and stable, but in liquid form, caution should be taken!
So, so nice when hiking. I hiked about 20 miles in the Ozarks in the middle of summer in Missouri and didn't have a bite on me. Wore socks/pants/shirt/bug head net that had been soaked in this. Awesome stuff.
Yup i wish i had mosquito spray in my layover in fiji. Got bit so many times while waiting
No. Get a bottle of Suspend Polyzone. It's a polymer coated insecticide that should last 90 days if applied using the instructions.
The worst two years of my life were renting a beautiful home in socal that had an uncontrollable flea infestation in the back yard. Roaming cats and critters would shed them all over the side of the house, back yard, and alley. Suspend polyzone knocked back a bunch of the problem. Paired with permethrin on clothing it was the only way I could get to the garage to work on projects.
Ew. I hate so much of socal.

Heads up, a friend bought this brand and sprayed his tent before we went camping. Rained the first night and this spray somehow canceled out the waterproofing chemical on his tent and he was soaked. Probably not true for all tents, but do your research before buying.
