check you local yamaha dealer before buying. They can likely beat the price on all ebikes. i purchased the morrow 7 new for 500 less the online.

Purchased second one today. price went up slightly below is my invoice. price was 2247 (morrow 7) out the door.
For those thinking about getting an ebike but worried about not getting enough exercise, remember this: sitting on the couch thinking about riding your analog bike burns no calories. Riding your ebike because it's fun and you don't have to stress about a hateful hill climb or running out of energy far from home burns a lot more calories!
Apparently it's Yamaha ebike week on SD

Found a dealer (after going through a few that wouldn't order me one). Several had existing stock as old as 2020 they wanted to clear. Finally found one that would order me a new one. A few said they haven't had very good participation with the reps, so that hasn't helped the bikes sell. I just think a lot of people aren't aware of the bikes. I wouldn't buy one at MSRP, but at this price + extra battery and warranty.. YOU kidding me? It's a steal. Thanks for posting. Damn SD! mo money, mo money, money!!!

I converted my 35 year old steel frame mountain bike to a gas powered 80cc mountain bike. And I converted it all for LESS THEN $100.00.

Besides it being LOUD... I don't see a reason to go electric for so much money.

My favorite thing is to pass a road bike which I do all the time.

Loud is more than enough reason alone. That's it, that's the reason. This is just willful ignorance either way.

I just searched for new 2025 wabash RT and cosscore. It will release next year and that might be the reason Yamaha just wants to clear all inventory as soon as they can so they will empty their storage space first and bring new bikes to the storage unit.

New bike will have updated version of motor which is slightly more torque, lighter and smaller. Looks like there is no change for components for wabash. They still use GRX 400-600 components and 11speeds. I thought it will go 12speed with smaller chainring.

Getting current deal of Wabash RT is definitely better deal than new updated wabash and Possibly Yamaha won't bring many new updated wabash to US and we might not see this kind of deal in 6+ years.

Before 2022, the Wabash RT had a different design with a very visible and prominent battery on the downtube.

I think that was called simply "Wabash" without the "RT", and it looks like it's still being sold

Any way to restrict bike to 20mph? In my state class 3 is not allowed in parks. But class 1 (20 mph speed restricted is)

Did you order direct from Yamaha or another online store?

You can ride it now without power or without the battery. As long as you don't break anything dramatic in the mid drive motor, when it's off it just becomes a heavy gravel bike. The Electric Bike report review has them riding around 14 mph with the motor off.
I guess what I meant is that I dont want 50lb bike. So if down the road say it breaks and i dont want to pay to fix it. Can i remove the electronics to remove the weight and leave as regular bike.

It was an error. I am going to re-order. But I am thinking about going for one of the Moros ... would there be any downsides to sticking with just gravel and road on a Moro?

You can remove the battery and the display/controller for 6-7 lb of weight savings but the bottom bracket is in the mid drive motor. So if you remove the motor, you have no pedals or front chainring. It's got a 5 year warranty, so I wouldn't worry about it that much. Most analog bikes don't have a warranty that long.

It should last much longer than that but if you want something you can always fix yourself, you have to go old school analog bike and buy a stockpile of parts when you buy the bike.

I doubt you can find a good brand (Trek, Giant, Jamis, Salsa, etc) analog with the components that are on this Yamaha for less than $2.5K. Getting a dropper seat, 11 speed, and hydraulic brakes on an e-bike with a second battery for less than $1.7k is just nuts.

MTB and gravel is different. If you are using MTB at road…. Well…

Maybe it's better to get crosscore instead of Moro. Also Moro is class1 bike so speed is limit to 20mile.

Anyway, what went wrong?
You scares me hahaha.
I will be super upset if my order is cancelled since I ordered very early (last Saturday night 9/8). Still I have not hear anything…. And see some people already got their orders….

Mostly the speed limit of 20mph on the Moro vs 28mph and less aero since you're more upright. I believe in the thread for the yellow Moro, someone posted a link to an app to remove the 20mph limit on the Moro but not sure how reliable that is.

If I place order from Yamaha instead of ex-stock, is it going to be 2024 model? Anyway for me to confirm this?
