check you local yamaha dealer before buying. They can likely beat the price on all ebikes. i purchased the morrow 7 new for 500 less the online.

Purchased second one today. price went up slightly below is my invoice. price was 2247 (morrow 7) out the door.
For those thinking about getting an ebike but worried about not getting enough exercise, remember this: sitting on the couch thinking about riding your analog bike burns no calories. Riding your ebike because it's fun and you don't have to stress about a hateful hill climb or running out of energy far from home burns a lot more calories!
Apparently it's Yamaha ebike week on SD

Looks like where in live in WA Velofix.com has the Wabash with no tax. Do you think it's worth cancelling the already shipped order I made through official website and make a new one with Velofix, saving the tax?
Awesome! Thank you!

I'm sad, I ordered direct from Yamaha on 9/9/24 got the email confirmation right away with the cost and order number, but as of today 9/17/24 heard nothing. I called Yamaha asked if my order was canceled, they said it's not canceled and was told they are backlogged processing orders. Called the local dealer it's supposed to be shipped to and he said he has my order with 200+ orders to his dealership and Yamaha is contacting him with 2 orders a day that are being shipped. The only thing I can do is wait for the email it was shipped and watch my credit card account when it's billed.
I am sooo jealous you guys are getting your orders shipped in a few days and it's been 8 days for me hearing nothing!
I would like to know if I'm getting it or not so I can order a different brand of bike - Velotric Summit 1 with a superior hub motor and $100 off and free battery - I don't want to order another one now if the Yamaha shows up and is stuck with 2 bikes !

Which state is your dealership in? Seems like some dealerships received more orders than orhers

Oh, if it's a size Small, by all means, cancel that order! It might just end up on my doorstep instead. Coverlaugh

But really, given Yamaha's apparent overselling of this promotion, there's a slim chance that Velofix will be able to fulfill your order. JMHO.

This doesn't have suspension. Get the Crosscore RC for cheaper.
It has a 45mm wide tire and it's made for roads and light gravel, not bombing down a cliff with several feet of drop.. why on earth would you want suspension with this bike?!? Suspension isn't necessarily a good thing and is often a gimmick.. and even when it is good quality, it may not add anything to the ride quality but it will add weight and cost.

I've been thinking about getting a casual road bike and I've been thinking about getting an e-bike. Should I get a casual road e-bike?????

I kinda think ebikes should only be at least capable of off roading, road bikes roll so good, unless your in an extremely hilly area it doesn't really make sense, in my opinion. An analog bike is kind of timeless, where as an ebike is like anything electric it's garbage after a few years once batteries break or it shuts off a few times out of warranty and your cursing it out lol

Front suspension makes a HUGE difference for curbs at bike paths, uneven pavement, tree roots/rocks on dirt/gravel trails, potholes, speed bumps, living anywhere in the north where roads suffer the winter freeze/thaw. Crosscore RT has the suspension, but the tires are street tread. Wabash without suspension would suck on the items listed above…. Yamaha doesn't really offer a perfect option for bike path/gravel/dirt trail use…….maybe in 2025. At this price we can afford to customize some tweaks!

All who wonder about the status of their shipment, someone in the other thread found a way to get the shipment tracking number from the developer view of the order page. Worked for me as well.

Ordered a small one on Sept. 14 to be delivered to my home. Just got an email today 9/16 that it's been shipped. No tracking provided though.
Was the bike assembled before delivery to your home? Or did you have to assemble it yourself?

I ordered for home delivery on Fri the 13th and haven't seen any movement and the charge is no longer showing on American Express. It's been pending since I placed the order.

EDIT: I see now that no matter what zip code I used in Broward County, delivery is not an option. If I use a Miami-Dade zip code, delivery is an option. Looks like I will soon be told that my delivery was cancelled. I'm not paying a $138 dealer fee out of principal. It was originally just the $15 recycling fee. I guess I'll be passing on this unless I want to take 3 buses and a local train furthur down into Miami to a dealer without fees.

Your dealer fees are $15, right?
