I understand you are paying for convenience, but even with the + account I found the prices so inflated compared to the stores it wasn't worth paying the membership fee, inflated product prices plus tip for driver. I switched to doing pick up orders with the stores directly at no additional cost for partial convenience was more cost effective. But hey, if you don't want to leave your house, prepare to pay the inflated prices on most items.

Costco sells Instacart gift cards for 20% off. Combine that with Instacart+ and a lot of the markup is negated.

worked on my wifes account, good timing because my membership was expiring in 10 days. I have like $200 in credits on my account, but hopefully I can use those by joining her family account and get instacart+ benefits.

I signed up for a year for $19. I wanted to turn off auto-renewal, so I went through Cancellation page. And it canceled the membership immediately and said they'd refund $19 in a few days.

I chatted with agent to see if this can be reversed, and the agent said no and offered me $9.99/month, which I don't think is an offer at all.

How did you sign up for $19? When I click "get deal at instacart" or "click here" it sends me to their site offering $99/year or to start the free trial.

$19 Instacart membership + $80 gift cards at Costco + Walmart grocery orders with no markups is an amazing combination. I can't imagine there is any chance of Instacart making money that way but they seem to be okay with it. Maybe they're still flush with venture capital money and eventually plan to get rid of all these tricks and by that point you're addicted to it.

So Instacart gives you the actual Costco receipt with order. My $102.58 Instacart actually only cost $87. So a $15 mark up BUT Costco sells $100 gc for $80 so I paid $82 for $87 worth of groceries. I tipped $20 so I paid $15 to get delivery. If $10 tip it's only a $5 premium to get it delivered
